Expanded Child Tax Credit
The Expanded Child Tax Credit is included as part of the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024 and will allow more families with lower incomes to receive a higher child tax credit. This is similar to the expanded child tax credit that many families received during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic which significantly reduced hunger throughout the country.
The U.S. House of Representatives voted to approve the expanded child tax credit with bipartisan support, but it has been pending in U.S. Senate for several weeks. Contact your senator to ask them to support this legislation and help reduce childhood poverty and put food on more tables in Wisconsin.
TAKE ACTION!
Call your member of Congress and urge them to fully fund WIC.

*The U.S. House of Representatives voted Jan. 31, 2024 to approve the expanded child tax credit with bipartisan support, but it is still pending in the U.S. Senate. This plan will lift thousands of children in Wisconsin above the poverty line. It is vitally important that we use our collective voice and advocate for the expanded child tax credit to allow more families with lower incomes to receive a higher tax credit this year. Time is winding down and your voice matters.
