It’s time for the 2022 True Inspiration Awards at Chick-fil-A and Hunger Task Force is a finalist! The True Inspiration Awards™ program was created in 2015 to honor the legacy of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. Through these annual grants, we are proud to celebrate and support nonprofit organizations who are Black-led or serve communities of color and who are working in the areas of education, hunger or homelessness. Twenty-four organizations will be selected as Regional Winners for their work in one of the three categories (education, hunger or homelessness).

We need YOUR help to win.

From September 4 – September 25, 2021 Hunger Task Force supporters should vote within the Chick-fil-A One® app. Here’s how to help select Hunger Task Force as an award winner:

  1. Sign in to your Chick-fil-A One account (or download the app and create one) – it’s easy!
  2. In the Chick-fil-A App Select ‘Rewards’ at the bottom of the screen
  3. Select ‘News’ on the top left of the screen
  4. Click the ‘Vote Now’ button
    1. Select the Midwest region
    2. Cast your vote for Hunger Task Force!
    3. Share this news with friends, family and other contacts who also support Hunger Task Force and our mission to be Milwaukee’s only Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader

Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader. The organization provides healthy and nutritious food to hungry children, families and seniors in the community absolutely free of charge. Hunger Task Force was founded in 1974 by a local advocacy group who then formed Milwaukee’s first food bank. Today, Hunger Task Force is 100% supported by the community and provides a safety net of emergency food with dignity to a network of 75 food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters. Through legislative analysis, education and community organizing, Hunger Task Force continues to advocate for anti-hunger policy at the local, state and federal level.
