Hunger Task Force Prepares for New Southside Community Resource Center
In early 2025, Hunger Task Force will be moving our FoodShare outreach center on Mitchell Street to a new location just two blocks away. This exciting development will become the permanent home of the Southside Community Resource Center, allowing Hunger Task Force to better serve local families in need. For over 15 years, our FoodShare Advocates have been a safe and trusted team connecting vulnerable families to FoodShare (SNAP) benefits and other critical resources.
This move represents a major milestone in our commitment to the community and the larger, updated facility will enable us to better help thousands of families access healthy food and essential resources while reducing reliance on food pantries. The new space will more than double our capacity with expanded self-service stations, flexible community rooms and private spaces to ensure dignified and confidential support for families, individuals and seniors.
Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to opening the Southside Community Resource Center’s doors and furthering our mission to end hunger in Milwaukee.
