Partner of the Month: Porsche Club of America – Milwaukee Region | October 2024
Hunger Task Force isn’t just Milwaukee Free & Local food bank – we’re a community. We believe in the power of collaboration, and that’s why we’re thrilled to recognize our amazing supporters through “Partner of the Month,” a platform to celebrate the incredible local organizations, businesses and companies who join us in the fight against hunger. They donate food, volunteer their time, raise awareness and provide financial support – strengthening our work in preventing hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger-free community tomorrow.

Porsche Club of America – Milwaukee Region
The Porsche Club of America (PCA) – Milwaukee Region’s commitment to volunteerism has been instrumental in helping Hunger Task Force feed families in need, embodying the spirit of their motto, “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people.”
The PCA demonstrates how meaningful hands-on service can be. Members have rolled up their sleeves alongside us, not only donating financially but also contributing their time and energy to our mission of ending hunger in Milwaukee. Whether it’s packing food boxes for seniors at our main facility or getting their hands dirty during apple harvests at The Farm, they show up ready to make a difference.
Roger Franzel, the club’s charitable outreach chair and past president, captures the heart of this relationship: “Hunger Task Force serves a wide range of people, and we have been able to provide hands-on experiences for our members, going well beyond just the act of donating money. Whether putting together food boxes for the elderly or picking apples at The Farm, Hunger Task Force has welcomed and supported our events. I am proud that we have been part of the solution in feeding the hungry in Milwaukee.”
Last month, 25 PCA – Milwaukee Region members gathered at The Farm, where they harvested 2,146 pounds of apples. These fresh, nutritious apples will make their way to families throughout Milwaukee County, contributing to our Free & Local model that ensures locally grown produce reaches those who need it most.
Over the years, their members and the club as a whole have donated thousands of dollars to Hunger Task Force, helping fund critical programs that address food insecurity in our community. Their generosity enables us to continue offering nutritious meals and essential resources to families across Milwaukee.
The PCA – Milwaukee Region is more than just a car club—they are a dedicated group of individuals who care deeply about making a difference. Members’ unwavering support strengthens our ability to serve those in need and highlights the incredible impact of community “driven” volunteerism.
