Hunger Task Force Hosts Tasting Event to Highlight and Thank Wisconsin’s Dairy Farmers and Cheesemakers

In partnership with the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotions Board, Hunger Task Force hosted a tasting event with Wisconsin’s Dairy Farmers and Cheesemakers. This cheesy event featured the best of Wisconsin’s cheeses and dairy products, including winners from the 2023 Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Auction at the Wisconsin State Fair. 

More than a dozen dairy farmers and cheesemakers, such as Holland’s Family Cheese, Kingston Cheese Cooperative, Ron’s Wisconsin Cheese, Royal Guernsey Creamery, Dairyland Old Fashioned Hamburgers, Westby Cooperative Creamery, Yodelay Yogurt and more showcased their finest cheese, milk, custard, butter, yogurt and sour cream Wisconsin has to offer.

The Wisconsin’s Dairy Farmers and Cheesemakers tasting event was a culmination of the Wisconsin Dairy Recovery and Badger Box Program, launched by Hunger Task Force during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2020, Hunger Task Force committed $1 million to support the purchase, processing and distribution of milk from Wisconsin dairy farmers and several Wisconsin cheese producers for hungry families throughout the State. In August 2023, Hunger Task Force purchased products from the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Contest to feed hungry families in our local community.
