Hunger Task Force isn’t just Milwaukee Free & Local food bank – we’re a community. We believe in the power of collaboration, and that’s why we’re thrilled to recognize our amazing supporters through “Partner of the Month,” a platform to celebrate the incredible local organizations, businesses and companies who join us in the fight against hunger. They donate food, volunteer their time, raise awareness and provide financial support – strengthening our work in preventing hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger-free community tomorrow.

McGovern Park Senior Center
In collaboration with Hunger Task Force, the McGovern Park Senior Center (McGovern) is dedicated to establishing a network where older adults can access vital resources and engage in activities as they navigate their later years. Part of Serving Older Adults, an organization committed to enhancing the lives of more than 5,700 seniors age 50+ annually across five county-owned senior centers in Milwaukee County, McGovern is at the forefront of this mission.
Pat Dixon, McGovern Park Senior Center Coordinator, shares, “We dedicate ourselves to helping and assisting our senior community in every feasible way we can. Every senior is treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. McGovern is a place where seniors come to enjoy life knowing they are loved and appreciated.”
McGovern is committed to assisting local older adults. The center serves as a Hunger Task Force Mobile Market and Stockbox site, helping seniors access discounted groceries and free Stockboxes each month. The center also fosters an environment where seniors can enjoy life, knowing they are loved and appreciated. Through its comprehensive programming, McGovern empowers older adults to maintain independence while staying engaged with their community.
Hunger Task Force is honored to partner with McGovern Park Senior Center in the shared mission of ensuring Milwaukee’s senior community has access to nutritious food, social support, and resources to lead fulfilling lives.
