We are excited to welcome Tania, Ruth and Alexia to Hunger Task Force.
Tania Ramsey
Child Nutrition Organizer
Please join us in welcoming our new Child Nutrition Organizer Tania Ramsey to our team! In her new role, she is responsible for growing participation in federal nutrition programs such as the School Breakfast Program, Summer Meals Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program. She is passionate about alleviating childhood hunger in our community. Tania joins the team with eight of experience in human services. She holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelors degree in human services from Springfield College.
Ruth Aviles
FoodShare Advocate
Hunger Task Force is thrilled to introduce a new FoodShare Advocate Ruth Aviles! She brings 33 years of experience working in education to Hunger Task Force. In her role as Spanish-speaking FoodShare Advocate, she assists clients applying for and maintaining FoodShare benefits and connects them to other federal nutrition programs for which they may qualify. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum instruction from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Alverno College and a Principalship Certification from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Alexia Lopez
FoodShare Advocate
Hunger Task Force is excited to welcome Alexia Lopez to our FoodShare Outreach Team as one of our newest FoodShare Advocates. Alexia joins the Hunger Task Force team with 12 years of experience in customer service. As a Spanish-speaking FoodShare Advocate, she is responsible for helping potential FoodShare clients apply for benefits, assisting FoodShare beneficiaries in maintaining their benefits and educating the public on how FoodShare works. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Film Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader. The organization’s core values are Dignity, Justice, Equity, Compassion and Stewardship. Hunger Task Force feeds people today by providing healthy and culturally appropriate food to hungry children, families and seniors in the community absolutely free of charge. Hunger Task Force also works to end future hunger by advocating for strong public policies and nutrition programs at the local, state and federal level.
