Hunger Task Force is excited to welcome Carmen and Megan to Hunger Task Force!

Carmen Baldwin, NDTR

Community Nutrition Educator

Hunger Task Force is thrilled to introduce our new Community Nutrition Educator Carmen Baldwin. She brings nearly eight years of invaluable community nutrition and dietetics experience to Hunger Task Force. In her role as Community Nutrition Educator, Carmen provides expert direction on healthy eating and nutrition and relevant strategies for implementing MyPlate within the emergency and supplemental food systems that Hunger Task Force supports. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in health communication from Mount Mary University and an Associates of Science in Dietetics from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Megan Torpy

Office Assistant

Please join us in welcoming our new Office Assistant Megan Torpy to our team! In her new role, she is responsible for coordinating and organizing administrative and procedural tasks to ensure Hunger Task Force runs effectively, efficiently and safely. She comes to Hunger Task Force with experience in project management at two local creative firms in the Milwaukee area. Megan is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies.

Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader. The organization’s core values are Dignity, Justice, Equity, Compassion and Stewardship. Hunger Task Force feeds people today by providing healthy and culturally appropriate food to hungry children, families and seniors in the community absolutely free of charge. Hunger Task Force also works to end future hunger by advocating for strong public policies and nutrition programs at the local, state and federal level.
