Buy-A-Bag Program Makes a Difference: Outpost Donates Over 80,000 Pounds of Non-Perishables and Produce
Hunger Task Force is thrilled to announce a recent generous donation from Outpost Natural Foods Co-op through their Buy-A-Bag program! This incredible contribution of 80,420 pounds of food will help nourish countless families facing hunger in our community.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Outpost Natural Foods Co-op, their owners and their amazing customers whose contributions made this donation possible. Their ongoing support through the Buy-A-Bag program is truly making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
A breakdown of the bountiful donation:

- Non-perishables: 32,164 pounds of canned green beans, corn, diced peaches, wild rice, toasted o’s cereal, and cereal bars.
- Fresh produce: 48,256 pounds of potatoes, carrots, and apples.

Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank and Wisconsin’s anti-hunger leader. The organization’s core values are Dignity, Justice, Equity, Compassion and Stewardship. Hunger Task Force feeds people today by providing healthy and culturally appropriate food to hungry children, families and seniors in the community absolutely free of charge. Hunger Task Force also works to end future hunger by advocating for strong public policies and nutrition programs at the local, state and federal level.
