Kohl’s Employees Give Back Through Volunteer Hours

Sep 23, 2024

At Hunger Task Force, we are grateful for our corporate partners like Kohl’s who encourage their employees to volunteer in the community. Last week, 77 Kohl’s volunteers visited our food bank and the Hunger Task Force Farm, contributing 231 hours of service. Together, they harvested 161 bins of lettuce, assembled 600 Stockboxes for low-income seniors, and sorted nearly 12,000 pounds of food.

Kohl’s encourages its employees to volunteer and matches their service with a financial gift for every hour served, amplifying their impact in our community. Since 2009, Kohl’s has committed more than $11.5 million to provide nutritious food to children, families and seniors free of charge. What’s more, Kohl’s donated more than $370,000 through the Kohl’s Cares Volunteer Program since 2018 because associate volunteers logged more than 8,500 hours of service.

We are grateful for Kohl’s continued partnership, which has strengthened our Free & Local mission. For more information on volunteering, visit www.HungerTaskForce.org/volunteer.
